More Reliable Trailer Wiring Harness for 2016 Nissan Quest

Question:

Have a 2016 Nissan Quest Have had 2 Curt 56342 wiring kits installed at RV centers both failed. Installed a 3 kit myself also failed. Towed trailer 1 time with each wiring kit. when I use the same trailer with any other vehicle, taillights all ways work great no problem. when I tow with 2016 Quest 1 taillight remains on when all power is off, no lights, no ignition. I have to unplug trailer plug when stopped for meals or overnight stops. Have you made any improvements to this wiring kit, or is it the incorrect harness for this vehicle. Not a pleased customer of your products

Sounds like the harness is getting overdrawn by your trailer wiring which is shorting it out and causing it to fail and then also causing the lights on the vehicle to stay on. Does the trailer have a lot of lights on it? We don't have the best luck with Curt trailer wiring kits so I would recommend the Hopkins kit # HM11143674 instead for your 2016 Nissan Quest.
