Question:
I have a 2017 Subaru Outback Touring with raised rails that run front to back see picture 2 on your site. Im confused as I read through the QandA section... 1. Does this product come with locks of any kind/quantity? 2. If so, how many and what exactly do they lock? 3. Are there other locks that need to be purchased? 4. If so, on what part of the roof rack would this second set of locks be used that are not secured by the first set of locks that may come with the rack from question 1? Thank you

The Thule Roof Rack system for your 2017 Subaru Outback Touring Edition that uses the Evo Flush Rail Feet # TH710601 and WingBar Evo # TH711200 comes with very simple plastic "locks" that are meant to be inserted into the lock slots as place holders, but they're not actual locks that will deter theft. The good news is that there are locks available to be used in their place that are strong and will do a great job of protecting everything. The locks on the Evo Flush Rail Feet are designed to keep the feet and bars from being removed from the rails, and will deter theft and protect your investment.
To replace the plastic placeholder locks that are included you'll want to use lock cores from Thule's One Key System. This system allows you to purchase lock cores that can all use the same key, so you can have one key to use on all of your Thule products.
You can purchase lock cores in packs of 4- part # TH450400; 6 pack- # TH450600; or 8 pack- # TH450800. Purchasing extra locks is a good idea so you've always got extras in the event that you purchase another Thule product that uses the One Key System, or something causes the lock to malfunction and you need to replace it.
I've linked some review videos on these parts for you to have a look at.
