Does Valterra EZ Valve Double Electric Waste Valves Need to Install Near Both Pipes

Installing E85-8. I have a 2014 Rockwood Windjammer 3025W. I would like to install an electric double valve for black and gray water. Do I connect directly to the down pipe pictured or do I go further up inside to connect?

Thanks for the photos, and you will need to install the Valterra EZ Valve Double Electric Waste Valves - Rotating - (3) 3" Hubs # E85-8 further up.
The valves need to connect to your gray and black water tank and then to the down pipe; to secure the EZ Valve to your pipes you will also need the Valterra ABS Solvent Cement # A05-0303.
