Can the Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks Bend To Take Shape of Roof

Question:

I have a 2013 Outback and would like to remove my stock roof rails, fill the area where they sat and install the RTC rails to the flat portion of the roof. My plan was to through drill to mount because the headliner would already be removed. Would the RTC rails bend to the slight curvature of the roof, and what would be the approximate weight limit.

Yes, the Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks like part # RTC14 will conform to the curvature of the mounting surface. If possible, it will be best to secure the track in the middle and then work your way out to each side for the best conformity.

In regards to weight, this will come from the mounting feet, crossbars, and mounting surface. The lowest rated component would be the figure you need to abide by but I wouldn't have any specifics on any one particular mounting surface unfortunately.
