Will this fit? To be mounted on a receiver on a 1998 Lincoln Continental Tow Ready 20320 6 way round pin connector adapter metal

There can be some bracket/connector compatibility issues if the two components are of different manufacturers. Some sockets will not physically fit inside of some brackets. For the Mighty Cord adapter # A10-6034VP you would use bracket # RM-910030-5, but you would not attach it directly to the trailer hitch. What you would do is use short bracket # 18140 or long bracket # C57202, attach it to the hitch and then attach bracket 118137.
Drilling into the hitch will void its warranty and can weaken the hitch.
