Flat Tow Wiring for 2011 Kia Soul That Does Not Use Additional Bulbs

Updated 09/28/2020 | Published 09/25/2020

Question:

Can I use Rm-155 without sockets and bulbs and wire directly into my Kia tail lights? There doesnt seem to be enough room to add the additional sockets and bulbs.

There is a wiring kit for your 2011 Kia Soul you can use if you don't want to use (or have the room) for the additional bulbs and sockets of the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs # RM-155.

You will need a different kit that is a diode system and will allow you to wire up your '11 Soul without the use of bulbs; for that the correct part is the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154.

Along with the wiring kit, you'll need a number of additional parts to flat tow your 2011 Kia Soul if you don't have them, with the best value being the following parts:

- Base Plate Kit: Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM9518246
- Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR
- Supplemental Braking System: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251
- Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400
