Can I use a four bike hitch rack on my 2005 Acura TL?

While you could use a Class I compatible 4 bike rack like # TH9025XT in the hitch on your 2005 Acura TL, you would be limited to 2 bikes when using the rack. This is because vehicles with Class I hitches can be damaged by the weight of the bikes being placed to far away from the back of the vehicle. The amount of torque that is applied to the hitch and vehicle frame is increased substantially as weight is added farther away form the vehicle. The only benefit would then be the ability to use it on a different vehicle to carry more bikes.
If you have another vehicle that can use a 4 bike rack, then I would suggest using the Thule Hitching Post Pro, # TH934XTR, bike rack and limiting yourself to two bikes when carrying bikes with the Acura TL. If you only carry bikes with the Acura then I would recommend going with the Thule Camber , # TH9058, and a roof rack system with two roof rack bike racks.
If you don't already have a rack on your Acura TL, the Yakima system that would work for you consists of parts: # Y00425, # Y28TR, # Y06159, and # Y06170
For roof bike racks I recommend going with the Thule UpRide, # TH599000, which will fit directly on the WingBar Evo system crossbars. The crossbars also come in black, # TH711420.
