Question:
got my hitch over my axle and have issues with sharp incline and declines back end of the box hitting trailer the trailer air would give a nicer ride do you think it would help with clearance issues?

Expert Reply:
What you will want to do is raise the 5th wheel trailer hitch up higher and the pin box on the trailer lower. When parked on level ground and with the trailer level you should have at least 6 inches of clearance between the trailer overhang and the top of the bed side rails.
Adding a different pin box like # LC158778 would provided an improved ride but will not give you any additional height. Making the adjustments on the hitch and trailer is the way to go.
