There are a lot of great options for a bike mount for your 2017 BMW X3 that don't require the use of a trailer hitch. I recommend the Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack # SA805BL. This rear-mounted bike rack installs easily onto the rear cargo area of your vehicle and can hold up to two bikes. Also, note that depending on the frame style of your bikes, you might need an adapter bar to use the bikes with the Saris hanging bike rack.
