Is Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler D13502 a Good fit for 2008 Honda Pilot?

Published 07/28/2009

Question:

Hi, I jsut want to double check that this atf cooler will actually fit in my 2008 Honda Pilot. I will be doing a DIY install of this and really dont want to get into trouble with the install. I do not want to have to reroute the fluid lines so basically I am looking for plug and play. And i do not have tiny hands. I want the biggest cooler that I can get but do not want that at the expensive of a brutal install. Also do you know if this cooler as opposed to the OEM will void my extended warranty?

Since transmission coolers are universal fit items, the Transmission Cooler, part D13502, will fit your 2008 Honda Pilot. Transmission coolers are very easy to install. It is mainly a question of reconnecting hoses and tightening clamps, and making sure you have room to mount them.

We do have larger transmission coolers than the D13502, and you would simply need to measure to make sure they fit under the hood. Check out the Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, part D12904. It is recommended for full-size cars, trucks and SUVs.

We also have a diagram that shows the best place to mount a transmission cooler. I have included a link to it below. We have not heard of any issues with transmission coolers affecting warranties, but you may want to check with your dealer to make sure.
