Question:

Hi, I currently drive a 2015 Honda CRV with a class III Reese Towpower 97209 Class III with 2inch Square Receiver opening hitch receiver and will be purchasing a Meerkat trailer that weights 900lb with a tongue weight of 100lbs plus I have a 1up 2? Heavy Duty Double Bike rack which weighs 45lbs could I use this dual receiver on my vehicle? Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2inch Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 7,500 lbs

Your 2015 Honda CR-V has the Reese Towpower 97209 which has a tongue weight rating of 350 lbs. When using the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 7,500 lbs # D210, the hitch receiver's tongue weight capacity is not impacted if you are using the hitch ball and the accessory at the same time, so you won't have any issue with your trailer and 1Up 2 bike rack.

When using just the bike rack without a trailer and using the # D210, the hitch tongue weight capacity will be reduced by 50% which will still keep you within the capacity of your bike carrier so you would only need to be aware of that restriction if you changed to a different bike rack.
