Replacements for Kwikee Steps on 1988 Motorhome

Question:

I have a 1988 Mallard Sprinter with a Kwikee step #2205, 2305, 2505 or 2506. I need to replace the old control No.8355 or 8305. I t appears your model 38 or 40 will do what is needed, but both have an extra wire purple and all of the wire gage is 12 or 16 were the wire on the old is 10, 12 and 14. Could you please advise me as to which is the correct controller to replace my old one.

I was unable to find any reference to any of those models or part numbers, unfortunately. For a step of that age, there are very few - if any - replacement parts, and since your wiring is different, that leads me to believe that none of the replacement controllers will work for you.

The only option we can offer is an all-new assembly with a motor, control, and switch, such as the Kwikee 40 Series Electric RV 2-Step - Motor, Control, Switch # LC3726892. The right one will depend on the number of steps you need and the bolt pattern you have.
