Question:

Hi. Looking for a 2 or 3 bike carrier to mount on my 2016 Kia Sorento LX AT. I do not have a hitch so am looking for a quality trunk type rack that is easy to install. Will be transporting alternative frame bikes with no horizontal top bar so would like a recommendation for the cross bar adapters. Also would like recommendations for locks to secure the bikes while on the rack, and to stop the front wheels from spinning. Anything else I would need?

For your 2016 Kia Sorento I recommend the Saris Bones EX 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms Item # SA803. This bike rack is easy to install, has large rubber feet to prevent damage to the vehicle, fits most vehicles with factory spoilers, comes with anti sway straps for the down tube on the bike frame, and adjustable arms.

For your alternative bikes I recommend the Saris Bike Beam Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes Item # SA3040. The adapter adjust from 19" to 25" to accommodate different size bikes. Steel construction with a black powder coated finish to resist corrosion.

To secure your bikes to the rack I recommend the Saris Cable Lock - 8' Long Item # SA981. The cable lock is a steel cable with a durable vinyl coating to prevent damage to the bike frames.
