Question:

Hi I am switching my thule and assesories old square bar style to a mazda5 van. Will this feet attach to my 2008 mazda 5 and the old thule cross bars? Inno Feet for Square Crossbars - Track Systems and Fixed Mounting Points - Black - Qty 4 Item # INXP And are the feet as strong as thule. I will be carrying 2 full size kayaks. and is there anything else I need to buy besides the above to make all this work, Also do any other companies make a less expensive option fixed point? Its difficult for me to see that they are worth 40.00 each. Thanks!

The Inno Feet for Square Crossbars # INXP will work with your older Thule square load bars. To fit on your 2008 Mazda 5, they would also need the Custom Fit Kit # INTR120. Those two parts will work together to make a complete set ready for your square crossbars. I attached a photo of it installed on a Mazda like yours.

I don't know what your original Thule feet specs were, but the Inno Feet # INXP have a weight capacity of 165 lbs which is great as I have seen other roof racks in this category with much lower weight capacities. The average recreational kayak is about 35-50 lbs, which means this set up would definitely work for your two kayaks.

I also looked around at the other possible fits for your 2008 Mazda 5, and it looks like the Inno # INXP is still the best and most affordable option out there. I especially approve of it due to its tried and true compatibility with older Thule square bars.
