Will Curt Rockerball Fit on Weight Distribution Head?

Question:

I have seen a couple of answers that say this cannot be used with a WDH, specifically the Equalizer. One answer said it was because the plat that stops the ball spinning does not fit. Is that because the plate is too big or too small? The second said just no and did not really explain why I think that was a Blue Ox. Is the issue one of fit or mixing the technologies? So does the Rockerball not work with a WDH for some functional reason? Thanks

The Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing 2-5/16" Hitch Ball - 1-1/4" Diameter Shank - Chrome - 12K # C29FR does not fit weight distribution heads because the base of the ball is meant to fit the rectangular platform. If you remove that part of the base it may work but it also could rotate so the shock absorbing may not work correctly.
