What Size Cut Out Does Global Link Slam Latch # 295-000015 Normally Fit and Backing Plate

Do you have an installation video for the replacement latch? My opening is 3.5x3.5. However, how do you get the latch tongue through the outside opening? In addition, no back piece is provided to screw the front latch piece into. Do you simply use a piece of wood?

The cutout size normally used for installing baggage door slam latches like the part # 295-000015 is 3-1/2 inch by 3-1/2 inch. You'll also need to use the mounting plate part # 295-000016. We do not have an install video for this latch at this time though. Normally there is a small cut out for the portion of the latch that grabs the door frame to fit through on the door.
