I currently have a C16521 Curt A16 5th wheel hitch w/R16 slider and C16023 adapter for mounting into the GMC puck system for a 2017 Sierra HD. I recently traded for a 2020 GMC Sierra HD. You confirmed that I now need the new C88KR adapter to match the hitch to the new puck system dimensions on the 2020 GMC. If I purchase and mount my existing hitch onto the C88KR adapter, what is the total height of this system when mounted in the truck. Is it different than the height when using the C16023 adapter? How much different? Is there any functional height difference between the C16023 and C88KR adapters?

It is correct that to use your Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with R16 Slider # C16521 in your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 with the 5th wheel prep package you will need the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch # C88KR.

This will add approximately 2 inches of height to your set up, so for the A16 hitch the height ranges are between 19-1/2 inches and 23-1/2 inches.

Adapter # C16023 will not work for your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 as it is for previous model years with different puck spacing. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well if you'd like of the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch # C88KR.
