It's generally recommended that you remove any aftermarket roof rack like the # RRRVP05 when taking it through an automatic car wash, but it's not the soap or chemicals that you're worried about causing damage. Removing the rack is done to prevent any of the car wash brushes from snagging on the rack and damaging the roof rack or the vehicle's roof itself.
