Question:
2014 trailer, replace all 4 springs twice. Up graded tires from a 205 to a 225, which helped from wearing the tires out every 6 months, I may get a year out of them now. The trail has 2 axles with the leaf springs. I have about 1,000 pounds in the trailer 90 of the time. What are my options? change the springs up to 2,400 - 2,500 lbs? I see you have a in between part that has rubber cushion. Can I replace axles with torsion axles without welding parts? Any help? Thanks! Mark

In regards to upgrading to cushioned equalizers like the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit part # K71-652-00 or part # K71-653-00, these will indeed help to reduce stress on the leaf springs as they won't be taking the brunt of road shock. I would give these a try as they will likely help to extend the lift of the leaf springs as well as create a smoother ride. It is possible to upgrade to higher rated leaf springs but this will likely make the ride of the trailer much rougher.
In regards to a torsion axle system, these would almost all require cutting and welding.
