I can't find the part number you are referring to so I will try to assist based on the other information. For your 2005 BMW 3 Series, as long as it is a Coupe, Sedan, or Wagon - excluding M3, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11174 you asked from. Then you can add the ball mount # C45510, pin and clip # F-4, and ball # C40018.

For your trailer wiring, I recommend the 4-Pole Flat, Hardwire Kit, and Circuit Tester # C59236.

Then for your trailer, I recommend using a motorcycle wheel chock like the MaxxTow Adjustable Wheel Chock # MTMWC-01R. This has the ability to be mounted directly to the trailer bed.
