Are Fat Tire Cradles on Saris Freedom Bike Rack Compatible with Smaller Tire Widths?

Question:
I need a rack that is universal. I have hybrid road bike, 29er mountain bike, and a 4.8 fat bike. Will this adapter allow me to install any bike into the tray? Or would i have to swap between the standard tray and the fatbike tray?

The Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # SA4412B-FB will work well for all the bikes you referenced. The fat tire cradles work fine with smaller tire widths.
If you instead want the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # SA4412B, then you can just trade out one set of the cradles with the Fat Tire Adapter Kit for Saris Freedom Bike Racks # SA4419 and you'd be all set.
