Question:
Do you have a recommendation for a towbar and baseplate for a 2012 Honda CRV. I want the towbar to be on the towed vehicle and easily removable It appears all your towbars remain on the towing vehicle

First, you will want to consult the vehicle owners manual and/or Honda because in the research I did I found that Honda does not recommend flat towing the 2012 CR-V. The LX model may be the one exception but you will need to consult the vehicle owners manual to be sure.
For base plates you can use # BX2258 that you have referenced. The compatible tow bars for this base plate set do mount to the RV receiver. These types of tow bars are preferred because they offer a better ride and performance.
If you wanted to go with a vehicle mount then you would need to use Roadmaster base plates # RM-521567-4. Then you could use the Tracker tow bar # RM-020. You will need to add quick disconnects # RM-201 to make it easily removable.
For safety cables you can use # RM-643. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground. For lighting I recommend the Roadmaster bulb and socket kit # RM-155 because you will not need to cut into the vehicle wiring for installation. You will also need to use a wiring kit # BX8861 or # BX88254.
Most states now require a supplemental braking system on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the easiest systems to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BRK2012 which is a proportional system that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
