Replacement Jack with Large Diameter Wheel

Question:
Hello, I have a Dutton Lainson 3400 jack that is broke. The trailer was made in 2006. It says 800 lbs max on the jack. The distance from the bottom of the bracket to the bottom of the tube is around 4 inches and it has a 6 inch wheel. I would like to get a jack with a bigger / better wheel since I park on dirt. Sometimes I need to move it by hand. What do you recommend?

When choosing a trailer jack, you will want to choose a jack whose capacity meets or exceeds the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer.
All of the Dutton-Lainson trailer jacks use the same 6 inch wheel, so if the size of the wheel on the jack you currently have is unsatisfactory, you might want to look in a different direction, to a different manufacturer.
Fulton makes a few jacks that feature a higher capacity and a larger-diameter wheel. The Bolt-Through Swivel Marine Jack, part # FXP15L has a 1500 lb capacity and an 8 inch diameter wheel and is compatible with trailer frames up to 5 inches tall. The Fulton F2, # F1413040134 is an extremely rugged jack with a 1600 lb capacity that also features an 8 inch wheel and is compatible with 3x3 and 3x4 trailer frames.
The larger diameter wheel should move through the dirt better than the 6 inch wheel you currently have.
