Question:
When installing the hitch, the existing nuts are so rusty, I am unable to get the bolts to start to thread in, any additional tricks above WD-40 and a brush? I did get two clean after about two hours of effort but the two over the exhaust are still not engaging the first thread. I am fighting six years of northeast USA winters. Yoiur videos are great, I got my Blue-Ox towbar baseplate and wiring done without any issues! Thanks!

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98868 is a great hitch that is easy to install when the weldnuts are not corroded. You have done the right steps in using a lubricant and a nylon brush # 814113, but since that isn't working on 2 of the weldnuts, I recommend using a small wire brush as outlined in the instructions being careful not to damage the threads.
If that doesn't solve the problem the next option is to use the 10 mm x 1.25 Tap and 8.8 mm Drill Bit to ensure the threads fit the bolts correctly.
