Question:

I have a light weight trailer to tow my Mobility Scooter. Every place I check here in Norman,OK says there isnt one for that vehicle. I printed out your data on DT74MR and considering tackling it myself but my kids tell me its to much for my age. 83 They might be right, but maybe one of my boys can do it for me, if not I will take it down to U-Haul. I had a 2019 Sonata Sport before this, I took that hitch off thinking it would fit. WRONGinch But will the wiring harness, extension and ball from it will they work on the 2020? Is there a installation video on line that would help.. Thanks for anything you can help me with to make my decision.. I would prefer a II but it says no the I is verified..

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # DT74MR is a confirmed fit for a 2020 Hyundai Sonata (All Models) and what I recommend using. In regards to the trailer wiring, you'll need to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # TK97FR. These two parts were both designed specifically for the 2020 model. In regards to the ball mount/hitch ball, you must use the Draw-Tite Drawbar part # 3593 and 2" Hitch Ball part # 19258.

In regards to installation, the above are all designed to be able to installed at home so you should not have any issues. They don't require any permanent modifications to the vehicle and all they require are common hand tools.

Please note, the 2020 model is a new generation so parts from previous years won't work.
