Do you see any issues using the Thule evo raised rail with 79 inch Thule ProBar Evo crossbars so that I can mount two Thule Hullavator Pro kayak carriers on a 2014 FJ Cruiser?

The Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 will work with the Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars # TH713700. The issue you may run into is that the 79" ProBar Evo may overhang more than 8" past the Crossroad Feet. For the Thule Hullavator # TH898 to work, you'll need to have at least 4 inches of overhang past the foot and no more than 8 inches.

IF the 79" ProBar Evos do not give you the 4-8 inches of overhang were looking for, you'll need to get a smaller bar, which is where the next issue comes into play. The Thule Hullavator requires approximately 28.5 inches of load bar space. So shorter bars, like # TH713600 may be an option.

If there is 4 to 8 inches of overhang past the feet with the 79" ProBar Evo then you can use both Hullavators with some limitation. Each Hullavator weighs about 40lbs and you have two of them. The ProBar Evos have a weight capacity of 220lbs, but the Rapid Crossroad Feet only have a weight limit of 165lbs. So, you will only be able to load up two kayaks that weigh 85lbs collectively or less.

Lastly, be sure to check your 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser's owners manual to make sure the roof can handle 165lbs. If so, and your meeting all the requirements we went over above, you can use both the Hullavators on your roof!

Unfortunately, we have not test fit the 79" bars on a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser so I cannot confirm that you will have 4 to 8 inches of overhang. If there are too many variables for you to confidently go with the dual Hullavator set up. I do recommend keeping it simple and easy on yourself by going with the etrailer J-style Kayak Carrier # e98878.

I've used this set up many times and it's really simple to install. Our carrier won't be as easy to load your kayaks as the Hullavator, but its a great carrier that'll get the job done and its a very cost effective solution to getting two kayaks to and from your favorite spot. You could always use one Hullavator on one side and our J style carrier on the other!
