Updated 07/30/2020 | Published 07/27/2020 >
Question:
will this step work with the current wiring for series 26 step. If so the bolt pattern is the same also. I have a 1997 sea breeze motor-home 133 it currently has a series 26 in bad shape as its hanging to low and catches things will a series 39 be better as the storage is only 4 1/2inch high compared to 67/8inch for series 26

According to the Kwikee Step folks at Lippert, the # LC3724742 Series 39 step will indeed work with your current wiring and will bolt up just like your current set of steps. The folded height would be definitely place the bottom of the step assembly closer to the underside of your RV, so if you're looking to maximize ground clearance, the series 39 like # LC3724742 would be a good choice. I've linked you to a demonstration video showing a typical installation.
