do you have a suggestion for lights for the thule xt2 bike rack with the bikes on the rack they block the tail lights.

While there are no light kits specifically made for use with the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202, you might be able to install the Cargo Carrier Light Kit # 52014 somewhere like on the spokes of your bike wheel to add that tail light function. These lights mount using a plastic sleeve so you wouldn't have to worry about any scratches on your wheel, although it wouldn't be a bad idea to maybe use some pool noodles or something like that to help stabilize the lights so they don't slide up and down when you hit bumps in the road.
