How To Use Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar On a 2017 Honda Civic

Updated 07/24/2020 | Published 07/23/2020

Question:

I I just received a used towing setup consisting of of a Roadmaster Falcon and a all terrain tow bar and a Roadmaster easy brake setup and need the correct baseplate for my car. I’m uncertain if I need the RM521573-4 or RM521573-5? I would also like a recommendation on the best wiring option to allow the RV to control the vehicle lights for runnng, stop and turn? Lastly need the best recommendation for charging the car’s battery from the RV while underway. I will need a bar, but I’m uncertain how far I need to . The towing RV is a 2012 Jayco Greyhawk 31 - -I assume i will need to measure the height difference when the baseplate is installed unless of course you know the recommended too!. Thanks

In order to use a Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar on a 2017 Honda Civic you'll need to use the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit part # RM-521573-5. If you have the crossbar already that is fine but it won't be needed since this tow bar can utilize the direct connect system.

In regards to lighting, the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 is the best option and it will work great along with the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-156-25.

In regards to a high-low adapter, I have attached a help article that gives you everything you need to know.
