Hello I’ve used this for several months. The was very little sway when first attached. Now there is a bit of sway and hit a pot hole, strap broke and my bike fell off. Thank god the person behind me stopped. The bolt attaching the rack to the hitch I used a long socket, can’t get any tighter. What am I missing tightening up? About to do another long road trip and really want to take the bikes. Also I assume you sell replacement straps?

We do have replacement straps for the Swagman XTC bike racks like the part # S64671 with the part # P308. This is a more economically priced bike rack and one of the sacrifices that ends up getting made on the lower priced racks is overall stability and movement. The clearances just aren't as tight and the rack will more more. The bike rack that is most similar in design and price that is very solid is the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z which is what I normally recommend for people.
