Will a st235/80r16 work where a 7.50 r16 came off?

Yes a tire size of ST235/80R16 will work on the same rim that a 7.50R16 was installed on. The 7.50R16 tire size fits on 16 inch wheels with a 6 inch width and the ST235/80R16 fits on rim widths of 6 inch to 7.5 inch.
