Question:

I have a 2011 Lexus rx350. It only has the side bars what do I need to purchase in addition to the Thule hullavator

You are going to first need a roof rack system that will give you cross bars that will run from side to side of your vehicle roof. To see the roof rack I recommend check out the link I provided.

Once you install the rack you will be able to install the Thule Hullavator # TH898 on your 2011 Lexus RX350.

This carrier has a capacity of 75 lbs, you will need to check your owners manual to determine the roof capacity of your vehicle and be sure not to exceed either figure.
