Will Thule Hullavator Fit on a Yakima Roof Rack on a 2017 Subaru Outback

Question:

we have a Yakima roof rack with 60 inch long oval crossbars that do not have a track in the bar. Should we purchase Yakima Jetstream aero bars or start over with a Thule base rack to mount Hullavators? Will we lose integrity in the rack system by using the Yakima rack with the Hullavators? Our vehicle is a 2017 Subaru Outback Premium.

You can actually use the 60" Yakima CoreBars # Y00422 with the Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 by getting the Mounting Kit # TH7520970001 which gives you a clamping system instead of the T-Bolts.

You can upgrade to the 60" JetStream Bars # Y00426 so that the Hullavator fits in the T-Slots, which I would recommend doing but it is a bit more pricey.

There is absolutely no issue using the Hullavator with a Yakima roof rack as long as you have the 4" - 8" clearance that is required (see attached).
