Question:

HI I have a 2014 RAM 2500 with Ram Boxes and rollaway bed cover. I have two 12foot 32inch wide 5inch thick sup boards I want to carry at 85 MPH freeway speeds out west. I am interested in all my options.

I think the best way to carry two SUP on your truck is with a roof rack system. The Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack is a nice roof rack system. This system paired with the Yakima SUPDawg # Y04075 would be a really good fit for you. This carrier accommodates two stand up paddle boards and attaches to a roof rack.

This is an easy to use system and I like the added roller for loading the SUP especially trying to get these on the cab of your truck. The added lock system is another thing I like about this carrier compared to a more economical pad and strap combination. To make your third tie down point a little easier I would pick up Yakima's Hood Anchor # Y07416. This will be much easier to hook into compared to running the strap over your hood to the front bumper. It does not have a rated speed limit but it is still advised to obey local traffic laws.

With the tonneau cover and RamBox setup eliminating a possible ladder rack system, a roof rack is a great way to carry a SUP carrier.
