Brake Controller Installation 2018 Ram ProMaster 3500

Question:

Hi, I have a Promaster 2018 with factory tow Kit. If I buy the Tekonsha Brake controller, how do I connect it. Do I need an adapter that converts from the Tekonsha plug to the Promaster Plug. Does the promaster factory tow kit have a plug? Thanks

The 2018 Ram Promaster isn't prewired for a brake controller, but installing one is a pretty straightforward process. Tekonsha provides a ready made wiring harness/7-way trailer connector as part # 22112 that when combined with the Tekonsha Primus # TK90160 brake controller that you'd already looked at.

I've linked you to a full installation video and the install instructions which will walk you step by step through the install process. The video shows a different controller, but the procedure would be the same for the Primus.
