While the OutWay platform trunk mount bike rack, # TH65JV, does technically fit the 2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan, it is more suited for vehicles that have a metal bumper like some SUVs. The reason is that the rack itself is heavy when compared to other trunk mounts and by then adding bikes to it the weight can deform less capable bumpers.

I recommend going with the OutWay 2, # TH45JV. This is a hanging style rack that mounts with 2 retractable cables, includes anti-sway cradles, and comes with locks to secure the rack to the vehicle and the bikes to the rack.

If you will be carrying women's, children's, or alternative frame bikes I recommend using the bike adapter bar # TH982XT for greater ground clearance and to carry the bikes more level. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works.
