Question:

I just purchased a Hobie Passport 10.5 which weighs 65#. I am looking for a rack to assist me to load on my 2019 Subaru Forester. My car has factory raised side rails 44inch from outside of rack to rack across. Do I need a 60inch Crossbar for the 4-8inch clearance? I am afraid the 50inch would not be enough? I just want to make sure I purchase the correct items. Thank you.

Thanks for getting me the distance from the outsides of the raised roof rails on your 2019 Subaru Forester. What you'd need then for a roof rack for the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 is a longer bar set than what they normally recommend of 47 inches. I'd go with the 53 inch bars part # TH711400 and the foot kit part # TH710401 and you'd be set. This would give you enough overhang without being overly long.
