How tall does the MaxxFan Dome Roof Vent extend above the installed roof when closed?

In regards to the MaxxFan Dome Plus Roof Vent part # MA00-03810W, the height is listed as 2-15/16" while closed and 3-7/8" while open which would be measured from the top of the roof to the top of the vent.
