Question:
Hello, I recently purchased a 2003 Starcraft Gemini Popup camper, I need to replace bearings, hub drum, and the electronic brakes. Do you know what size or specific hub drum I would use? BTW, thank you for all the videos on youtube, your channel is a wealth of knowledge. Thanks again.

In order to determine the correct replacement bearings and hub you will need to pull the hubs completely off and either measure the spindles using a digital calipers like the # PTW80157. You can also remove the bearings from the hubs and check the numbers you find on the inner and outer bearing to determine which hubs would match the ones you're taking off. It's also good to know the capacity of the axle. The last thing you'll need to match is the bolt pattern on the hubs to your current wheels.
If you pull your hubs and determine that they've got # L68149 (inner) and # L44649 (outer) bearings, as well as 5 on 5" bolt pattern wheels you can use the Dexter # 84556UC3 to replace your hubs on your 2003 Starcraft Gemini. If you find different bearings, please let me know and I can help you locate hubs that will work.
For the brakes, the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA will fit on those hub/drums and are self adjusting for virtually no maintenance required after they're installed. This brake kit does not come with mounting hardware so you'll also need # BRKH10B.
You will want to confirm the size of your spindle or the bearings you've got in your current hubs before purchasing. I've linked some helpful articles on trailer bearings that you might find helpful, as well.
