Since your Dodge Ram was equipped with the 7-way connector, all the necessary wiring should already be in place. You will need a wiring adapter, part number # 3020-P. If you're using a Tekonsha controller like the Prodigy P2 you referred to, the black plug will connect directly to the controller. If your controller has the wires exiting the rear with no plug, just cut the black plug off the harness and wire color for color to the controller. The brake controller would wire up to the adapter, then the adapter would plug into the port under the dash. The port is located on top of the small white box located on the firewall behind the emergency brake pedal. The necessary fuses should already be in place in the fuse block located under the hood.
I've linked you to an FAQ article that addresses how to install a controller on a Dodge truck, as well as to an install video.
