I have a solution for you, but to answer your question, no the Hullavator will not work with your existing roof rack.

We are looking for a roof rack system that the bar hangs over PAST the foot anywhere from 4-6 INCHES. I have included a diagram to illustrate.

If you have factory raised rails on your Acadia, I recommend the Thule Evo Raised Rail Foot Pack. We will want to pick your preferred colored bar and then the foot pack.

Black: Part # TH711220

If you are looking to haul kayaks and have the easiest experience loading and unloading, the Thule Hullavator ( # TH898 ) is the way to go. I have had more positive experiences with the Hullavator than any other Load Assisting Kayak Carrier. If this is what your looking for, you've found it. You will have to switch your roof rack system with the recommended parts above.

If you are wanting to utilize your factory roof rack to carry your Kayaks, I recommend our etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier # e98878. These work very well and include straps to tie everything down. It's a more simple solution as there is MUCH less components and is a lot easier to install and remove from your roof.

Yes, loading/unloading with the etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier is not as easy as the Hullavator but it is a great accessory I use personally! I've included a video of the etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier, so if that interests you check it out!
