Diameter of the Inner and Outer Jack Tubes on Stromberg Carlson A-Frame Trailer Jack # Jet-2500
Updated 08/20/2012 | Published 08/18/2012 >
Question:
I notice that the specs on this jack indicate an inside tube diameter of 1-3/4inch and an outside tube diameter of 2. Are they referring to two separate tubes here, or do they mean inside and outside diameter of the lower portion of the jack same tube? Im looking at extended jack feet for one and it seems like almost all are for 2inch tube jacks. If the lower tube on the jack is in fact 1-3/4 O/D, will a 2inch jack foot work?

The description is talking about the 2 different tubes on the jack. The static outer tube has a 2 inch outer diameter. The inner tube that actually moves has an outer diameter of 1-3/4 inches. A foot with a 2 inch INNER diameter would fit around the bottom of the inner tube.
