Question:
My truck, a 1991 D350, does not have the factory towing harness. My trailer on the other hand, is a rather large pintle hitch 9 ton payload backhoe hauler with dual axles and electric brakes. Hence, I assume that I need to buy NOT ONLY Modulite Ultra Protector Wiring Harnes AND its Wiring Kit, but ALSO some kind of wiring harness adapter to the brake controller. Yes? I happen to have a Tekonsha Voyager brake controller so I dont need that. But if you will tell me everything ELSE I need to buy I will appreciate it very much.

You could use the wiring harness like that on your 1991 Dodge D350. However, unless your trailer is drawing more than 7.5 amps for brakes/turn signals and/or 7.5 amps for running lights, you can just use the Curt harness # C55317 and it will be much easier.
But to add a brake controller as well, you will also need to add a 4 and 7 Way installation kit # ETBC7. Your brake controller will need to be hardwired into the truck. I have included some instruction links and videos that will explain the installation for you.
