Control Model Replacement for Kwikee 42 Series Steps on 2002 Country Coach Allure

Question:

I received my control module LC379146 and installed it a few days ago. All the connectors worked perfectly except the two prong connector that supplies the motor. The new module connector is a male connector and the connector on my existing motor is a male connector and they are different style male connectors. Have you encountered this situation before and is there a pigtail with female end connectors that are different on each end of the pigtail? I have a 2002 Country Coach Allure with series 42 steps.

The harness difference you found is because the control unit you should have ordered looks to be the # LC379604 which fits the newer versions of the step. Most likely the steps of your RV were replaced with a kit made after 2005.
