Question:
Hello, I had a question about the CAM 55310. I understand that the product allows to dertermine if there are any faulty electrical issues coming from the camp grounds or whatever you plug it in. That being said, in case of a surge, the Cam has a surge protection of 1,050-joule. What I am not clear on is the following: Does the product have an internal breaker which will turn off to protect my RV? Do I have to manually reset the breaker? If not, does the the product reset when it deems it suitable like the CAM55301? Thank you

Expert Reply:
In simplest terms, the Camco RV Power Defender Circuit Analyzer part # CAM55310 acts as a fuse and the Camco RV Power Defender Voltage Protector part # CAM55301 acts as an auto-resetting circuit breaker. Therefore, if the fuse blows it will need to be replaced but if the circuit breaker trips it will go back to functioning as normal once the fault is corrected.
