Low Profile Crossbar Option for 2016 Honda Pilot With Raised Side Rails

Question:

I have a 2016 Honda Pilot with factory side rails, but no crossbars. I want to purchase crossbars that will work with the Hullavator, but I have very low clearance in my garage. What is the lowest profile crossbars that will work, and what is the height clearance required?

In order to use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier part # TH898 on a 2016 Honda Pilot with factory side rails I recommend using the Rola Rail Extreme RBU Series Roof Rack part # RBU53. The Rola Rail Extreme is fairly low profile, it only adds about 4" when measuring from the top of the metal roof. This is the lowest profile option we have so it is what you'll need to use.
