Can I make this hitch work on my Ford edge 2017, I have one.

The Curt # C13900 is a universal multi-fit trailer hitch receiver so it may fit your 2017 Ford Edge. However, this type of hitch is typically reserved for vehicles where a custom hitch isn't an option.

Curt actually offers a 2" hitch specifically designed to fit the frame of your 2017 Ford Edge SE/SEL, the Curt # C13234. Unlike the # C13900 , this hitch does not require any drilling, and we know for sure the Hands-free Liftgate sensor areas will still work on either side of the hitch receiver opening. I wouldn't be able to tell you how the # C13900 would affect these sensors, or what other possible modifications would be needed to install it on your Edge.
