Both trailer connectors you speak of are sockets that would typically be used on the vehicle end of the trailer/vehicle connection. One is a one pole, the other a two pole so they wouldn't be compatible with each other.
The Pollak # PK11851 is a single pole wiring socket, which would be compatible with a # PK11852 single pole plug The Pollak # PK12801 2-pole socket would be compatible with a 2-pole plug, part # PK12800.
