Will the Thule Pulse XL Cargo Box Interfere with the Rear Hatch or Antenna on a 2005 Toyota Prius

Question:

Hello etrailer.com expert, Will I be able to open my 2005 Toyota Prius rear hatchback fully with a Thule Ascent 1600 cargo box installed on the Thule 480 traverse feet with square load bars? will my antenna need to be removed?

We have tested the Pulse XL cargo box # TH615 on a 2011 Toyota Prius with aftermarket roof rack, but not a 2005. On the 2011, see video linked to the right, and it just barely clears the antenna. The hatch was not a problem as you can see in the video.

The mounting feet on the box can be adjusted backwards to move the body of the box forward to give you more clearance at the rear of the vehicle.

If the antenna is in the way but if it is flexible enough, you should not have to remove it. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view.
