The Rear View Safety Windshield Mounting Arm for Mirror Monitors part # RVS-619UM will fit your 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. You will of course need to remove the factory mirror to install the new arm. To do this there is a Torx bit screw in the bottom holding it in. I was unable to confirm the sixe but it looked to be in the T-15 to T-20 range. Once that is removed you will then lift on the factory mirror to remove it revealing the industry standard windshield tab. If equipped unplug the wiring in the back for the auto dim and compass. Just push down the tab on it to do that.
